We're Growing!

 Anchor Point Academy has been incredibly blessed to receive an abundance of support and interest since announcing our opening in January 2026. Along with the support, we have had many mothers, teachers and paraprofessionals reach out inquiring about potential employment opportunities.

For 2026, we will be looking for one Pre-K guide, who will work 20 hours per week. 

 

Position Overview:

​

 Our pre-k guide will support our young learners in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment while helping them develop foundational academic, social, and life skills. This role focuses on guiding students through daily lessons, encouraging curiosity, and fostering a love of learning.

​

Responsibilities:

​

- Lead 7-10 students through daily Pre-K lessons and activities

- Create a warm, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere

- Assist children with early literacy, math, and hands-on learning activities

- Encourage age-appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral development

- Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment

- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress

- Support the mission, values, and policies of Anchor Point Academy

- Attend staff meetings and trainingss as needed

Requirements: 

​

- Love for working with young children

- Patient, positive, and nurturing personality

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Ability to manage a small class independently 

- Ability to work alongside and coordinate activities with other guides

- High School diploma or equivalent required

- Physically able to participate in outdoor and indoor activities

- 3+ years in teaching, childcare, or early childhood education experience

- Must pass a background check

- Provide 3+ references

Pay rate is determined based upon experience, ranging $15-$18 per hour.

We will also be hiring 1-2 substitute teachers to have when needed, and we hope to fill those positions through the help of our students' parents.

Our plans for expansion are mighty and with lots of prayer and a little help from Jesus, we will be opening more locations for 2027-2028 in nearby towns, and growing our Bay City program.
